Me

I write this blog.  I am a stay at home mom who spends as much time in the fields as I do in the house. My husband

Aba and I have been married for 9 years and have 4 healthy children, 1 in heaven, and are expecting a new little girl    sometime around January 4th, 2010.

Navi (N) is 8 years old, in 3rd grade and in the bear pack (cubscouts), 4-h, and plays pop warner football.  He is very sensitive and takes things very hard.

Princess (Miss B) is a talkative 6 year old in first grade  and enthralled with princesses, high school musical, and cheerleading, she is definatly a girly girl, and involved in 4-h and pop warner cheerleading.

Rockstar (J) is 4,soon to be 5 and our little tank. He wants to be a soldier, rockstar, daddy when he grows up. Is in his first year of 4-h and can not wait to play flag football next year.

Littles (Baby B) is 3 and very very independant and demanding.  She feels the house and farm should be run by her whims..

This is our second year farming here in the wilds of rural New York and we have had quite a ride, learning much along the way.

Join me and my family as we attempt to rehab our 1841 farmhouse, our post and beam barn which hasn’t been used since at least the 1970’s and make a living off of the land.

You are more than welcome to visit our farm website  Mizrahi Manor as well.

  1. Go East, young woman! :-)

My place is out in Joes, CO, and we bought the whole shebang, barn, chicken coop, 10.5 acres for a song. No, really, we just sang and sang and they gave it to us, just to shut us up. (hee. and kidding.)

It’s beautiful out there, with all those wide open spaces, clear blue skies and long, LONG stretches of traffic-free roads.

  4. HI I love your site, it’s so amazing how the web opens us up to understand life in the shoes of people living different lives than our own! Your family is great! I run a website that you might be interested using with your youngest (J) especially if you don’t end up doing preschool. http://www.productiveparenting.com it’s free and will provide you with a new activity suggestion each day provided by early childhood educators. He’ll be ready for kindergarten…No problem! Enjoy and thanks for an interesting read on your blog!
