when it rains it pours.

where have I been?  well I have been busy with life, you know that thing that sometimes gets in the way of all of our plans.  My computer got a nasty virus that prevented it from even backing up my data so I lost the fabulous fair pig auction videos.  the one where Princesses pig Petunia pee’d on her boot and pant and she just shook it off and kept on going.  An act that earned her $0.50/lb. on her prized piggy for acting so coolly.  I also lost the videos that we took of “the other side of the fair’ the side most people see, all the rides and games.  Aba and I had taken turns taping the kids on every ride they went on, and they too alas were lost.  And somewhere between that and starting to re-enter the whole years accounting into the quicken again (because yes that too could not be restored), driving up to Syracuse several times for various appointments, visits from both Grandma with the Doggy, and Auntie Lala’s little family, the peak of market season, school starting up, football and cheerleading seasons commencing, Cousin k getting Mange, the cows escaping a whole 3 times, and all of lifes other little joys, trials, and tribulations along with my growing belly that saps the energy from me, i just couldn’t find the time to blog.

But thats all good and done, I have pictures of visitors from far away, videos of the kids first games, thrilled that we finally found other Jewish families nearby and have been welcomed into their circle (at least I think we have), the high holidays are over and were greatly enjoyed,  and I believe we are pretty much at the end of market season.  The first frost has come and gone (September26th, for the record), it looks like rain through the next 2 weeks for the most part, and we almost have the cellar done so things can move back to where they belong.

My tummy is growing bigger every day, and our little baby girl seems to be healthy and growing right along.  Somehow, I have misplaced nearly all of my maternity clothes, so my wardrobe is getting more limited everyday and it is a good thing that I don’t really have anywhere to go most of the time, and colder weather has set in so I have an excuse for wearing overalls and flannels 90% of the time.

Princess and Navi are doing great, Rockstar seems to love going to full day school, and Littles is keeping busy with herself and helping out Aba and I anywhere she can figure out, even if it means more work or a slower job for us, she is right in their keeping on.  The Cows got their first feeding of winter hay last night, and our list of farm chores, while changing with the seasons, doesn’t really ever end.

For now I leave you with this,
