slow summer?
ha! The only thing slow around here is the sun, which has decided it doesn’t want to make a showing this year.
But with daily swimming classes, market twice a week, and meat bird chores, it has been a struggle for me to find any “summertime”. What is summer time? of that is time to roll down hills, go to events at the library, catch fireflies and random crafty projects. Don’t despair, it is only the first week of summer, and I am sure that as soon as we get farther into summer things will shape up and more free summertime will present itself.
We are prepared however, I have the makings of s’mores, hotdogs and hamburgers; swim goggles and swim suits are being broken in, and now that the greenhouse is finished ( finally!) and getting planted, a lot of free time should clear up.
We have gotten most of the fields weeded well, and only have the greenhouse and it’s surplus yet to plant.
Ah, well time to run and take care of the stinkin’ meat birds and get everyone loaded up for swim class. If the incesent rain ever stops and the sun decides to come up, I might be able to take some pictures.

I hear you. Doesn’t seem like there is enough time in a day. How many meat birds do you have? We recently sent ours to freezer camp!
How sad is it that we are only a month into summer and my kids are already heading back to school on Monday? Sometimes I feel bad for them not getting the whole summer experience, but at least most of their friends are going back to school to…
Has the sun shown its face yet? Cause we are SCORCHING here!!!!!
