Peaceful evenings

Evenings in the country are so peaceful. As the sun keeps the sky glowing late into the evening, the birds sing their songs, the frogs and toads croak their tunes, and the wind rustles the trees creating a symphony of nature.

Once the days work is done it is nice to slowly walk along enjoying the sounds of nature until the birds go to sleep and the fireflies make their shining debut. When we moved here I was worried we would be to far north for fireflies. I didn’t know how lovely natures evening (and morning) serenades could be.

I’ve been told there are no fireflies in town, I have yet to hear the birds calling so sweetly when at market, and feel we are truly blessed to have it all in our backyard, for everyone to enjoy. It’s a wonder what a little open space, a little long unmowed grass, and a pesticide free space will allow to flourish and grow.

  1. Great site, I now have you bookmarked to come back again.

  2. Can we come camping there?
