a 6 year old Princess

Princess, is now 6 years old.  Her birthday was last night.  She requested tacos  (with crispy shells) for dinner and a chocolate cake with red icing (or a lemon cake with chocolate frosting, but I get chocolate frosting from a can and didn’t have any so she took her chocolate on the inside instead).  My fingers are still stained red from mixing the frosting.  For her “school birthday” she had me make a chocolate cake with pink frosting.  She really likes chocolate, and will make gift giving easy for someguy when she is older.  Much, much older!!!

For her birthday she recieved a huge floorpad coloring book, some bubbles, a my little pony and some clothes.  She is a clothes horse.  She loves getting new clothes and takes what she wears very seriously.  She will cry if I try to make her put on “boy” pants, is upset when things don’t match, or she can’t find what she is looking for. 

For the clothes Aba and I each picked something at walmart ( we don’t have many choices here for kids clothes, walmart or peebles.  thats it.  I hate buying clothes at walmart, they just don’t hold up, but what are you gonna do?  She will be getting the rest of her new clothes – she has been growing over the last year and now needs a new wardrobe – from the internet and grandma with the doggy who lives in a big city and does a lot of bargain shopping)  Anyways, Aba picked out something cute he liked, and I picked out something cute that she would like.  While she likes both outfits, let me just point out she liked the one from me better ( poke, poke, and no she doesn’t know who picked out what or I am sure she would change her mind).

 

Oh and of course her  new birthday bracelet.  She just outgrew the ones from her 1st 4 birthdays so they have been put away for her until she has a little girl of her own.  It made Aba kind of sad, that they grew to small and she no longer has an armful of bangles like her momma  (me) and the rest of the women in the family, but over the years her arm will fill up again, I promise hunny!
