Look who’s 2!!!
Littles is 2! I remember the day she was born. Actually I remember 1 specific part of the day she was born, how my doctor and Aba both kept telling me to hurry up so she wouldn’t be born on Halloween (apparently that would be the worst thing possible!!!) She was born shortly after 11:00 and missed being a Halloween baby by minutes, the doctor and Aba rejoiced, I was just annoyed at being told to hurry (like I had any control over it).
She started out as a large baby, but quickly showed that she was going to be a tiny girl. She insists on wearing Princesses clothes that are simply huge on her (as 18 months still float about her a little to large you can imagine what size 5 and 6 look like). She loves yelling “poo” at me and then running for the potty where she sits and rolls her tummy, I guess she thinks that will make it come out, I don’t know (she doesn’t actually make any deposits yet, just yells, runs and sits, and flushes again and again). Littles also loves to tell me and Aba “no” and has lots of “uh-ohs” that she proudly exclaims as she spills things, but then runs to clean them up.
She is adorable when she attempts to herd the sheep out of the barn in the mornings waving her pink cowboy hat and yelling “Yah Yah”. and as she dances around the living room whenever there is music on, and stops and scowls at you if you change the station or turn it off ( actually it is quite funny to turn the music on and off she starts and stops with it). Unfortunately this past year she has turned into a thumb sucker and since discovering the TV 3 weeks ago will sit and watch and suck. She loves her “key” (monkey) and cuddles up with her every night. She also loves to cart the fluffy chickens around the barnyard and freely doles out the scratch which the birds all enjoy. The cows still don’t know what to make of someone so small, and keep a wide berth around her.
Just because she is small doesn’t mean she wants to be left behind. Littles helps with the chores (in her own way), plays duplos and puzzles and colors. She joins in games of dress up and light saber battles, and likes to sample everything in the kitchen and the field. She learned early on that she can eat anything she wants in the garden, and samples frequently. I am sure this will be an interesting year with her, as she is quickly becoming very opinionated, showing an attitude and wanting to assert control over every aspect of the household ( as I type this she is yelling no at me because I won’t give her another cup of chocolate milk when lunch will be ready momentarily). Our 2 biggest battles are currently keeping her clothes on and coming when called.
